It’s the First of Halloween!!!

Let the decorating begin!

The rug and candy corn wreath went up on the front door bright and early.

Patio decorations will go up when the weather cools down a bit, or late one evening if a cool down doesn’t happen.

I guess I’m not the only one that was anxious for the First of Halloween as I did see some cute decorations when I was out and about this past week.

One of the ladies working the deli counter of the market, brought in and decorated the display case with her personal stash of witches.

At the medical center, the doctor’s assistant had this planter on her desk, saying she saw on social media that Trader Joe’s had them, so she rushed over and bought one.

Cute, but not something I was jonesing to run by TJ pick up one for myself.

My indoor decorations began to go up when, about a month ago, I ran into a skeleton cowboy. Seeing another skeleton cowboy a few weeks after, I snagged that one as well and, when I two weeks ago saw a spooky candelabra, I added it to the mix.

The shelf speaks to me, what with the skeletons and all year round on display Ex’s Ashes jar, so the shelf is going to be an all-year-round exhibit, displaying my dark side.

Then there’s this gem I ran into at the craft store when I wasn’t even looking for it.

I was really bummed out when, a few days after returning from Long Beach Pride, I could not find my Wonder Woman coffee tumbler and realized I must have left it in the hotel room.

Unable to replace that exact tumbler, I wasted $30.14 on a Starbucks tumbler. “Wasted” because hot coffee didn’t stay hot but a minute.

Deciding to live with luke warm coffee when out and about, the Witches Brew tumbler jumped out at me while at the craft store.

It was kismet because the tumbler was the only one on the shelf and in the wrong location had I been looking for a tumbler. Hot stays hot and the cost was a third of the Starbucks tumbler.

    1. The universe seems to lead me to these things that are just right for me when I'm not even looking for them, don't even know they exist.

  4. Love your decorations. I know there's more goodies to come! Anxious to see them all. The deli witches are pretty cool. The cowboy skeletons are really neat. Like the witch's tumbler. Guess I'd need a warlock one!
Halloween is one of my favorite holidays...which is probably no surprise. LOL!

    1. If I'd run into the planter, I probably would have brought it home as well, but it's given me an idea for the pumpkin carving or painting thingie.

  8. I love the idea of skeleton cowboys. I don't know that I've ever seen one. You know how it goes, now I'll be seeing them everywhere since you mentioned it.
