Valentine’s Day

It’s that time again … the day I dredge up the gif which expresses how I feel about today's hoopla.

Not only is Miley Cyrus still singing my anthem — Flowers, she’s singing it with a Grammy for Record of the Year.

  1. Not everyone's a fan of Valentines Day, it's true. Or relationships or coupledom.

  2. Never a big fan of Valentine’s Day myself. It always made kids and adults feel more lonely.

    1. I don't know if I can relate to that feeling of loneliness, but I imagine it can affect some like that.

  3. Believe it or not...this is the first time I heard that song! I like it. Valentine's Day was always primarily my father's birthday.

  4. Well this year at least you can bow out and say that you will be observing Ash Wednesday.

    1. Good one, Will Jay. I might use that as an excuse for next VDay ... giving it up for Lent.

  5. I don't do hallmark holidays. I am spoiled all the time I don't need such forced holidays. When I meet my husband and told him this he said, "is this a trick?" Nope. I find them stupid.

    1. I agree with "stupid". I can't recall ever caring much for the day.

    1. When my girls were little, I always did something for them on Valentine's Day. Other than that, I'm with Peggy on it being a forced holiday.
