All I Want for Christmas

It’s raining — storming actually, since early yesterday morning

It’s dark, gloomy, the forecast is for this weather to continue off/on for the next six/seven days, but at least I’ve got today, tomorrow and the next day before I have to leave my unit, interact with the outside world.

I even have tamales in the freezer, left over from when I last made ‘em, while I'm seeing, on the news, long lines of others out in the rain, waiting to get theirs.

With no place I must go, nothing I must do outside of my little unit, three days until I have to interact with the outside world again, and tamales in the freezer, all I want for Christmas is for my twins, and granddaughter, to not call me, not text me, to be able to handle their own squabbles and issues without worrying/involving me.

Wishing every member of my blogging family a Fun Fabulous Happy Merry Christmas, Kwansaa, Solstice.

  3. I hope you get your wish! Yes, "peace and quiet" has been my wish for several years: no noisy crowds or standing concerts. Guess grinch covid fixed that.
Somehow your lovely wearable tree reminds me of the Munchkins in the Wizard of Oz. Just don't go stumbling over the the RLD patio. Maybe I've been in Kansas too long.
Must fix some hot cocoa with Raspberry Schnapps in it! Have a peaceful and quiet Christmas, Kwanza, whatever needs celebrating.

    1. I actually did once dress up for Halloween as a Christmas tree. Wasn't as fancy as the outfit the Reface app put on me, because I made it myself, but it did have working lights.

  6. Oh GF I can relate to not wanting to be dragged thru Family Drama and Headaches! Christmas Eve and Christmas Day was disastrous on account of a certain Diva Child! I will be glad when all are Raised and then we can limit exposure enough to have quality time and not having a little bit go such a long way when they're being Too Much! We had flooding here, it even got inside the RV Garage and wet a whole Box of Old Photos, I'm drying them out and think I can Salvage them all. *Whew* May you have a Prosperous and Peaceful New Year in 2022.

    1. You too, my blog sister, have a happy, prosperous, peaceful, drama free 2022. It would kill me to lose old photos, so I hope you're able to salvage yours.

  8. I understand wanting to avoid family drama. Hope everything played out the way you wanted it to. Otherwise, next year you can always put your phone on Do Not Disturb.
