Out and about this morning, I caught the proverbial Early Bird.
Turns out, he really does catch the worms.
He caught quite a lot, which leads me to believe he’s feeding a family.
Maybe he's hoarding worms?
He did look well fed.
He was working for it.
I was surprised he didn't fly away when he saw me so close.
It amazes me how they find the worms so easily. Linda in Kansas
X-Ray vision.
Finally proof!
LOL, so it wasn't just a myth.
Busy birdie!
Feeding a family is a lot of work.
What was the background noise? If it was early I don't suppose it was a lawn mower. Don't the birds hear or sense the vibration under the earth to find worms? JanF
That indeed was the landscaping crew running their equipment.
