Sorry, Not Sorry

Recall Election doesn’t end until tomorrow and already it’s being called as Gavin having kicked butt.

Sorry Caitlyn; sorry Larry.

Things got a little gnarly late today when Larry tried to change the tide by dragging out a Weinstein victim, who accused the governor’s wife of trying to silence her.

Not smart if true, but too little too late.

I’m not a political person — I don’t follow the ins, the outs but, if I'm not mistaken, Larry’s last minute disclosure — that didn’t work, seems eerily similar to the last minute disclosure of Hillary’s emails sent on her private account, that did work to change the tide.

At any rate, it’s a wrap on the recall.

No news on what’s become of the rescued kitten.

I usually run into the nice old guy and the tall redhead whenever I head out, but have seen neither hide nor hair of either one since Thursday, when they knocked on the door.

Tomorrow is Pizza Tuesday for the seniors — and yes, Activity Director is back to having that activity. So that should get one of the two out of their unit so I can find out what’s going on with the kitten.

Tomorrow is also Bingo — the first since the pandemic. That too should get folks out of their units.

Last week, I ran into the Baker and the short redheaded OG (the woman whose niece, a health care professional, who was NOT vaccinated, took a trip to Las Vegas, came back with Covid), both asked if I'd be coming to Bingo.

"That would be no", said I, and used the excuse of no reason for me to participate in activities, now that I’m no longer taking photos or managing the residents’ website.

I did say perhaps I’d stick my head in, just to see how things were going, but I don’t think I’ll be back in time from running errands and getting my annual flu shot.

  1. A typical political trick is to find a 'gottcha' and save it for the last day so the opponent doesn't have time to reply.

    1. It must also be a political trick to claim voter fraud, because it's already being alleged by Larry, who's not yet been officially declared the loser, and he's being back on those claims by no less than No. 45 rearing his ugly head to get involved in the recall election.

  2. When she couldn't get a sitter, Grammy would drag me along when she played bingo. I'd spend three hours of reading comic books while hearing the man churn that thing and then call out "B-6" and dying of boredom. No wonder I don't wanna play bingo.

    1. LOL. I can see how that might traumatize a child. The steady drip drip drip of the caller's voice churning out numbers would be like water torture.

  3. Well, I have been wondering about the kitten.
Of the people I know who've refused the COVID vaccine, many are health care workers. Seems strange.

    1. It does seem strange. Makes me wonder if they know something we don't know.

  4. The Voter Fraud allegation is getting Old and so is the mud slinging, I always lose all respect for anyone who feels they must assassinate the character of any opponent in order to win. If they can't win by their own merits, they weren't the right candidate, plain and simple, trying to reverse decisions because you are a sore Loser or can't win unless you cheat, is a very bad look. Mebbe for some, getting out of their Units can help with Isolation, which can be detrimental if prolonged... and this protracted Pandemic has sure been prolonged!

    1. Right you are ... if they have to assassinate the character of opponents or cheat to win, they aren't the right candidate ... and are not to be trusted in the position. Once a liar and a cheat, always a liar and a cheat.

  5. Oh, please, don't "poke your head into the bingo." Covid cooties hang in the air for 3 hours. Fans aimed the wrong way will spread the cooties even more. Grab your own pizza.
My stupid apartment complex had a party with games, etc. I did not attend. Fortunately my physically isolated apartment is far from it. The covid party resulted in 3 people getting covid! Stay safe! Linda in Kansas

    1. Good to know about cooties in the air for 3 hours. God forbid any of those who attended today's Bingo get sick, but I'll keep my ear to the ground.

  6. We used to play Bingo at school, I enjoyed it back then. I hope rescue kitty found a good home, and is doing well.

    1. I just learned kitty found a home. I'm not sure if it's a good one. More on that in my next post.
