Big Brass Balls

You can't fix stupid, is what ran through my mind when I saw an old fool shopping at the corner market yesterday, wearing a campaign shirt that to me indicated he'd drunk too much of the MAGA cool aid ……… "T@#$p For President, Finally Someone with Balls".

I don't know about "balls" ……… Stormy Daniels certainly didn't seem to think so; but if this old guy still supports and thinks the damage his pick is causing as something to be admired ……… ballsy, it just goes to show that stupid can't be fixed.

Had I stuck around long enough, it wouldn’t have surprised me to learn he’d driven to the market in a Tesla.

So, anyway, I picked up the eggs Trainer’s friend set aside for me — 18 count Organic Eggland’s Best @ $10.99, just one dollar more than when I last purchased these same eggs (Stater Bros), as opposed to the $13.49 I paid at Ralphs, two miles away.

I smell shenanigans.

In other words, it's looking like Claudia was onto something in commenting "Could it be that the producers are taking advantage of the publicity and jacking up the prices in certain areas?".

In other news, Casey Anthony is on TikTok.

Yes ……… that Casey Anthony, the woman who, some years ago, was dubbed "America's most hated mom".

She’s reintroducing herself to the public via TikTok as a "legal advocate for myself and my daughter".

Yes ……… that daughter, the one she was accused of unaliving back in 2008.

So now she's an advocate for that daughter. Talk about someone with balls ……… big brass ones.

  1. Maybe he’s referring to the ping pong balls rattling around in Orangey’s head where a brain is supposed to be.

  2. Casey Anthony and her Parents were really covering up the Death of that poor Child, that was thrown away like garbage and an inconvenience to Miss Party All The Time. It is a further abomination to pretend to advocate for the Child who was killed. And Yes, in a Capitalist Society they will always take advantage of a troubled Market to gouge the Public, it's the American Way to charge as much as you can for what's in high demand or has even exaggerated/fabricated intentional "shortages" to profit more off of. The Bird Flu is real, nothing is really being done about it in a meaningful way and it's jumping Species now... all very alarming when the CDC is being gutted and Science and Disease Control is being marginalized by this Regime. Mebbe they see it as a handy way to cull those they deem the "Undesirables" of Society? As for the MAGA Cult Members, well, just LOOK at him, he's the Stereotypical Member... are we surprised he's Advertising... he need not, we'd probably already be able to profile him. *Bwahahahaha*

    1. Quite a few new people have moved into the complex. I hope he's not one of them. If he is and I see him around, I'll start wearing my lock him up shirt again to piss him off.

    2. Trump said he liked the uneducated - no kidding.

    3. Fingers crossed that he doesn't live in your complex.... JanF

    4. Or, if he does, hopefully it's on the far side of the complex where our paths will likely not cross.

  3. I did see something about an investigation into price gouging on egg prices. They are saying (too much information) that the flu is carried in bird guano and in my area we have lots of geese flying back to Canada. And the reason I mention this is that the independent egg producers (like my farmer with a small flock) have the same droppings as the big producers yet my eggs are $3 a dozen because her costs have not gone up. I am not not saying that there is a lot of loss with the bird flu that this administration is not doing anything about, but I just don't trust anyone.
Gosh, I hope this idiot isn't your new neighbor.

    1. It appears greed, of one kind or another, is the prime motivator for a lot of what's going on. So, a healthy dose of skepticism seems wise. We already have a cool aid drinking MAGA in this building, right around the corner from my unit. We don't need another.

  4. My brother and I are complete opposites on everything. He voted for Trump and I did not. He's been buying the shirts, coins, flags..ect. He thinks they'll be worth something some day. I keep telling him it's a waste of money. There are a lot of crazy people out there.

    1. That's got to make for some awkward moments when family gets together. It came out, when family got together last year for Thanksgiving, and conversation turned to the Mad King, that my deceased sister's husband (Uncle Leroy in the blog) is a supporter, as is my grandson in law's father (White Grandma's husband). Thank the Lord, I didn't make it to Thanksgiving last year.

  5. "jacking up the prices in certain areas?" Walmart (not that I go there that often) does that here. The further you get from the city's center, the cheaper the prices get.

    1. I've seen that happen in the insurance business ... Redlining, where cost is based on ethnicity and/or where you reside.

  6. Do both grocery stores the same standards, or is one more upscale? The level of service they provide often causes the prices to be higher.

    1. They are both pretty much on par, but it may be that Ralph's is close to the college and student housing.

  8. I just bought organic eggs at the market...$7.99 for a dozen.

And that old Maga won't be thinking "something to be admired" when his cost goes further up, he loses some of his benefits, he can't afford his meds. and just wait till they fuck with SS. He will be shitting himself then.

    1. That's not a bad price for eggs, considering prices elsewhere, and I just don't know about these MAGAs. Even after they lose their farms, their healthcare and SS, they will probably find an excuse to blame everyone except the Mad King. The cool aid is strong with them.

    2. Maybe they'll get the measles and covid together....and that will be all she wrote.

  11. Eggs suppliers in close areas do have different issues. One farm could have the virus and had to kill off their chickens while a farm a mile away may not have it. I wouldn't be too quick to call it price gouging if you see uneven prices in the area.

    1. Good point, and next time I see my egg contact, I'll ask if he has inside info on why the disparity.

  12. When I went to the grocery store today I saw one of those red pickup trucks that sits three feet off the ground. It had letters about eighteen inches high across the rear window spelling out the orange outlaw's name. Below it in letters about eight inches high it said "F*** Around and See What Happens, only it didn't have those asterisks. When I told my wife about it she opined that that kind of obscenity should be cause for arrest. But times have changed, my friend. If you don't believe that just look at what you're paying for eggs!

    1. TikTokers are campaigning to shame her off the platform but, pretty much like you said, there's no shame on her part to leave willingly, crawl back into the hole she's been hiding out in for the last 20 years.
