I’m back from an overnight, with granddaughter, the great grandbabies and my new relative (the 18-year-old great granddaughter I didn’t know I had), to tour the Festival of Lights at the Mission Inn.
Knowing the elves would have returned to the North Pole Christmas Day, on the way out of town I stopped by the market where Elf Buddy resides for one last hunt and found him in the Bakery Department.
Lights in and around the Mission Inn were spectacular and, since pictures and videos are worth a thousand words, here you go.
Perils of taping. Didn’t see the curb. Almost fell.
All in all, it’s been a fun but busy, too busy, holiday season. I’m now ready to settle in for a long Winter’s nap.
Naps are good!
ReplyDeleteI plan to nap through the next four years.
DeleteThat Market Elf was, once again, no match for you! Beautiful videos, thanks for posting them!
ReplyDeleteThe hunt is so much fun. Hope you're having a wonderful Christmas.
DeleteWow! That’s a winter wonderland. So beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOnly thing missing was a sprinkling of snow.
DeleteMerry Christmas. It looks like it was a wonderful couple of days.
ReplyDeleteHope your Christmas was bright and Merry 🎄 🎅🏾🤶🏽
DeleteBelated merry Christmas to you! Enjoy the nap.
ReplyDeleteA new 18-y.o. great granddaughter! I've got some catching up to do here!
Ancestry discovered 1339 matches. This is just one of them. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
DeleteHope you write the story of who found whom, and are there any more "finds" in those almost 1400 matches.
DeleteI'll do that, write that story ... but it's not all that interesting. Other than that, there was one other, that I blogged about a few years back, who dug deep and learned our connection was my grandfather and her grandfather were brothers!” She sent me photos of my father, whom I'd never met, and filled me in on family history.
DeleteYou've had a lot of beauty in your holiday!
ReplyDeleteThe beautiful decorations are what I love about Christmas.
DeleteI hope you had a nice Christmas.
ReplyDeleteBack at you, Mary; and best wishes for a Happy New Year.
DeleteThey really do it up. Great tour.
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed it.
DeleteGlad your Christmas was spent with pleasant Memories, I now need to know more about the 18 Year Old Great-Grandchild you didn't know you had?! I'm assuming your Granddaughter's new Spouse Fathered a Child very Young perhaps? How great that you finally got to meet said Great-Grand and spend a Holiday with him/her. I've got Grandkids I've never met in Person and Great-Grands I've never met in Person. Some of Salvador's Kids, and thus Princess T's Siblings, we didn't know about until Years later becoz he had a lot of Kids and most were Grownups before she was even Born and aren't close to their Dad. So, I know I'd LIKE to know and get to meet every single one of them and know who they are since they are related to my Bio Grandkids and to me, we've never differentiated between the ones with a Bio connection to me and those that don't. In fact, so many of my Kiddos and Grandkiddos closest Friends call me Mom or Gramma, that most people think they're mine too! *LOL*
ReplyDeleteMaury would tell Granddaughter's spouse "You are not the father". He is completely unrelated to my new Great Granddaughter. I myself don't have all the logistics but will soon do a post on what I now know, since there seems to be an interest.
DeleteThat's a lot of lights! A 4-year nap sounds good. Merry Merry nap. Linda in Kansas
ReplyDeleteWake me when the incoming administration is on the way out.
