Wazzup?

Still not much going on, except this month’s bingo games have been cancelled, MAGA and Talker had another dust up, the Baker and Di also had a dust up. It went 2.0 …… got physical.

Snug as a bug in a rug under the A/C, working on scrapbooking, cleaning the spice rack of expired spices, reorganizing the kitchen cabinet, I’ve been getting news of the dustups second hand from the parties involved.

Talker tells me MAGA is still following her around, trying to engage/get close and, as usual, has been involving herself in things that are none of her business and aggravating others. Like when she wormed her way into one resident’s life, the resident let her guard down and expressed being depressed.

MAGA feigned worry about the woman’s mental health, called the police, who arrived to check on the woman.

She didn't appreciate it. Expressed to others that she felt betrayed/embarrassed. Withdrew even further because of it.

Then, when Patricia/one of our Usual Suspects passed away, MAGA got involved, feigned being closer to Patricia than Patricia would have allowed, inserted herself into the family’s business.

Another of our Usual Suspects/Louise was out-of-state visiting her daughter, fell, broke a hip and is now recuperating in an out-of-state rehab, staying in contact with Talker and the Baker.

MAGA is losing her mind running around trying to insert herself in Louise’s business, trying to get Louise’s telephone number.

Louise doesn’t like MAGA, would not appreciate a telephone call, we all know this. So, MAGA somehow found out Talker is the point-of-contact, asked Talker for Louise’s location and telephone number. When Talker said she couldn’t give Louise’s personal information to her, MAGA began badgering her for it. When Talker pushed back, MAGA accused Talker of being aggressive and words were exchanged.

Talker needs a restraining order but instead reported the following around, harassing to the office.

Not that anything will be done by management, but so there will be a record on file.

So now, word on the grapevine is to let our families know that if and when we pass away, be on guard for MAGA to try to get involved with our families.

I myself am drafting a text message to granddaughter and Twin 2 to not be fooled by, stay away from, do not be polite to, give no information to MAGA when my time comes.

Speaking of which, I’d previously mentioned Twin 2 gifted me with a cremation package. Since then, I’ve been thinking about wanting my ashes in a cowboy boot cremation urn.

Found it.

At $253.50, I haven’t ordered yet, but I will.

So, anyway, the Baker tells me her dustup with Di occurred when the organizers had gathered in the Community Room to plan bingo, learned the office will be closing early on the days planned for bingo, causing the Community Room to be locked up, decided to cancel August bingo.

At one point, the Baker was on the phone checking something to do with the results of doctor ordered lab work, the results being too high. Di walked into the room, began telling the girls about the woman she testified against being released from prison.

The girls keep doing what they were doing, the Baker on her phone, the others doing whatever, no one engaged.

Di became furious, yelled, "No one f__king cares about what’s happening to me"!

Now let me just say here that, if you haven’t already figured it out from previous postings about her, the Baker is the sweetest, kindest, most generous/patient human being ever …… darn near a Saint.

Di isn’t a bad person, she’s just a basic human …… complicated.

Baker said that when Di yelled no one f__king cares about what’s happening to me, "I lost it. Told Di that no one is paying attention because we’ve all heard a version of it over and over and over"; and, with one of her hands, she grabbed Di by the arm, grabbed her walker (a replacement walker???) with the other hand, escorted Di and the Walker to and outside the door.

"Well, damn", laughed I. "You got physical. Ushered her out the room".

Asking the Baker if she’s seen Di since, she said "She actually returned a few minutes later. Apologized for the outburst".

No one paid attention, no one engaged.

  1. Well, I’m glad the “physical” wasn’t an actual slap fest. MAGA sounds like a nightmare. I can’t believe she called the police when that woman simply said she was depressed. The cowboy boot is wonderful... and a steal.

    1. Everyone thinks it hysterical that the Baker, of all people, was pushed over the edge to do something like that. I'm guessing the depressed lady had to be pretty desperate for a friend to have allowed MAGA into her life, trusted her.

  2. That cowboy boot cremation urn is PERFECT! It is SO YOU! But may it be a long, long time before it needs to be used!

    1. I just hope that, when I order it, it doesn't turn out to be the disappointment Audrey the Venus flytrap was.

  3. MAGA needs a good old fashioned shunning.
Di needs to check herself before others do the checking.

    1. MAGA is impossible to shun. She'll just keep pushing and, if one doesn't respond, she'll accuse them of something just to get them to respond. Di is just a sad case.

    2. I'm very good at shunning ... perhaps a Ted Talk in the community room???

    3. Thing is though MAGA is a problem for quite a few around here, she has never crossed me. So far, not trying to get in my business, always polite, respectful, even when I tried to goad her by wearing anti-Two Dolls shirts. I'm told that's because "she would never with you Shirley, she's afraid of you". I've no idea why she's afraid of me, except she's got good sense, knows who to F with who not to. So, it's up to those she aggravates, stalks, get in their face to have that Ted Talk. I'm just here for the tea, LOL.

  4. Wow, it's a regular Payton Place this month! I have to give Baker credit. There are times I have wanted to yell something similar.
Love the Cowboy Boot. And I think your letter is a good idea.

  6. Those boots look like you honey!!!! You'll kick some serious ass in those.

And I bet you thought you'd never see or have so much drama this late as an adult with these people!!! I still have friends with dramas. It must just stick with some people.

  7. I'm guessing all communities like ours have their busy-body who inserts themselves into everyone's business.

    1. I'm sure you're right, but MAGA is extreme in the way she follows and badgers until she gets what she wants.

  8. Wow, the drama continues. Smart to give your daughter and granddaughter the heads up about MAGA.

  10. Why am I not surprised that MAGA is a cruel, nosey old bitch?! She's going to insert herself into several restraining orders if she keeps it up.

  12. Love the Boot Cremation Urn, glad you're getting it Shirley. I picked out our Coffins Years ago with my Mom in tow, coz The Man felt Coffin Shopping was too morbid. *LOL* I got him a Bronze one with Seagulls but told him it was Oak with Eagles, 'til I reviewed the Paperwork and corrected myself. *LOL* Mom was a hoot while picking out mine with me, telling me stuff like, our Dawn, that one looks COMFORTABLE... I thought she was gonna ask me to get in it for size and feel?! You should have seen the Mortician Guys Face coz he could tell we were Serious Buyers. *LMAO* I got the gaudiest one they had, big Virgin of Guadalupe with smaller ones all around the parameter, Roses, Golden/Brass Accessories... Party Time at the Wake Gypsy Style, my Family will Smile in spite of Grieving and that's the Point... I was a Celebration of Life, not some morbid cryfest. Anyway, so Di and Baker's Dustup had me Smiling. As for MAGA, I'm glad you're warning your Loved Ones about her, I don't like folks who insert themselves where they are not wanted and have no business being in the business of other people. But, the fact she's a MAGAt kinda explains so much of it, doesn't it?

    1. That's pretty funny about describing a coffin as comfortable. Would have been even funnier had you tried it on for size, LOL. A lot of people would probably think it morbid to shop for where you rest once out of the mortal body, but it makes good sense and takes some of the onus off those left behind. I'm trying to decide who to store my urn with, once I purchase it, Twin 2 or Granddaughter or keep it and let them both know it's here. Where do you store the coffins?

    2. A good idea to think about what will become of the magnificent boot once it's filled and check with the family, it can make a difference. JanF

    3. JanF ... losing Twin 1 so suddenly has taught us all a lesson about preparing for the inevitable.

  13. The boot urn is lovely. Like the metal Venus Fly Trap; might want to measure it, as urns come in different sizes. You have a lovely in-shape body but your chest is more beautiful than most, so you might need a boot a bit bigger than the ones you wear on your feet. My Mom bought a beautiful urn for my Dad. We used the same one for my Mom. (We did Burial at Sea for both and the Captains dumped ashes off Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii.) Whoever in my family wants it next, can use it. I don't see any of us to need to re-purchase an urn when we need one. Ashes are placed in plastic bags, then the bagged ashes placed into your cardboard box or chosen urn. Sooo, maybe you just need to direct the funeral home to use a pair or one of your real boots. The PRIDE Rodeo might be happy to store your ashes urn. Cozier than the parade.
Yep, I'm gonna use the urn and be dropped off Lahaina too. The boat Luckey Strike II and the Captain survived the fire, but the Captain's home did not.
Sounds like a restraining order is needed for the resident wackos. Can you suck ICE onto them?
Stay safe and alive for awhile; we all need and love you! Linda in Kansas

    1. "Like the metal Venus Fly Trap" ... is why I've not yet purchased, but plan to; $253.50 is a lot to spend on something that might disappoint, so I'm waiting until I can handle being disappointed, but if we're talking about sizing it based on my tatas, I might need two boots to handle the ashes, LOL.

    2. Well, while we're on the topic, surely the purchase site describes the boot urn size, or sizes offered. I measured my family urn. It's 11" tall. The screw-on cap is 1 3/4" tall and part of that height. The general width is 6" wide. My Dad (first in the urn,) was about 5'8", maybe 180+ pounds. My Mom (second place) was about 5'2", about 160". She was endowed but not 2 boots' worth. This urn weighs 3 pounds, 10 ounces, and is made with brass bands and aqua color stone type finish.
A nearby funeral home might have your boot. Do you need two boots to split yourself among relatives? My Mom lied and didn't really put any of Dad in the church garden where it has a label. She was gonna split him up. Nope, her last say was to dump all of him in the ocean. I was there!
If you need to ship yourself to a relative while in the chosen boot(s) be aware that there are different postal rules to do that: declared, marked as "cremains," bagged, locked and sent to the next post office still locked. I sent my parents individually to a funeral home on Maui to pick up when I got there before Burial at Sea.
Picture it: OKC: My devoted Mom wanted Dad's urn to be carry-on with her on the plane to take him to Hawaii. This is a couple of months after 9/11. Had to call the airline and confirm this could not happen; a heavy "bomb" in carry-on, with mysterious powder inside. Nope, nope, no way. Hence the special mailing procedure.

    3. I'm planning on emailing the seller, tell him my height/weight, ask questions about how much ash boot can hold. Don't plan to split between relatives. Twin 2 has already called dibs on my remains, plans to plant me somewhere nice, grow a tree over my ashes, but not until she's ready to give me up. I'll tell her to plant me with my boot on when she's ready to let go, LOL.

    4. Good plan. Son of my high school best friend did that with his Mom; cool trees in a forest, to grow into something beautiful. Better than Boot Hill in Dodge! Linda in Kansas

  14. Dang. It sure is getting heated up over there. I find it interesting to hear a little gossip but when someone wants to complain about the same thing over and over, I want to run for the hills.
